CRA Assessments obtains your information from the Client (your employer or potential employer).  When using any of our Services you consent to the collection, transfer, manipulation, storage, disclosure and other uses of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. Irrespective of which country that you reside in or create information from, your information may be used by CRA Assessments in the United States or any other country where CRA Assessments operates.

Information Collection and Use
Information Collected Upon User Account setup: When the Client contacts CRA Assessments to create a new user account, we receive personal information from the Client about you.  This information may include your name, email address, country of residence, years of monitoring experience, degree, manager, title, years of experience at the company (if current employer) and primary language.    This information is listed internally in our system and is accessible by CRA Assessments and the Client.

Information Collected Upon User Login: Your use of the service may result in CRA Assessments having stored images or a video capture of the work you perform while connected to CRA Assessments, and will also include the results of your entries for the simulation.  This information is used to score your simulation and to ensure that the entries you created were not lost due to internet connection disruption.

Log Data: Our servers automatically record information (“Log Data”) created by your use of the Services. Log Data may include information such as your IP address, browser type, the referring domain, operating system, and browser plug-ins.

Cookies: Like many websites, we use “cookie” technology to collect additional website usage data and to improve our Services.  A cookie is a small data file that is transferred to your computer’s hard disk. CRA Assessments may use both session cookies and persistent cookies to better understand how you interact with our Services, to monitor aggregate usage by our users and web traffic routing on our Services, and to improve our Services. Most Internet browsers automatically accept cookies. You can instruct your browser, by editing its options, to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting a cookie from the websites you visit.

Third Party Services: CRA Assessments uses Google Analytics to help understand use of our Services. Through Google, Analytics collects the information sent by your browser as part of a web page request, including cookies and your IP address. Google also receives this information and their use of it is governed by their Privacy Policy.

Web beacons: Our Web pages contain electronic images known as Web beacons (sometimes called single-pixel gifs) and are used along with cookies to compile aggregated statistics to analyze how our site is used and may be used in some of our emails to let us know which emails and links have been opened by recipients. This allows us to gauge the effectiveness of our customer communications and marketing campaigns.

Your Consent: We may share or disclose your information with your employer or potential employer.  Use of CRA Assessments’ services explicitly indicates your consent to disclosing your information back to our client.

Service Providers: We engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to us. We may share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these functions and provide such services, and only pursuant to obligations mirroring the protections of this privacy policy.

Law and Harm: We may disclose your information if we believe that it is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation, legal request, national security or other law enforcement requirements; to protect the safety of any person; to address fraud, security or technical issues; or to protect CRA Assessments’ rights or property.

Business Transfers: In the event that CRA Assessments is involved in a bankruptcy, merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets, your information may be sold or transferred as part of that transaction. Modifying Your Personal Information

Our Policy towards Children

Adherence to EU-US and Swiss-US Privacy Shield Framework 

CRA Assessments complies with the EU-US and Swiss-US Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the US Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information from European Union member countries and Switzerland. CRA Assessments has certified that we adhere to the Privacy Shield Principles of Notice, Choice, and Accountability for Onward Transfer, Security, Data Integrity and Purpose Limitation, Access, and Recourse, Enforcement and Liability.  If there is any conflict between the policies in this privacy policy and the Privacy Shield Principles, the Privacy Shield Principles shall govern.  To learn more about the Privacy Shield program, and to view our certification page, please visit www.privacyshield.gov.

Under certain limited conditions, EU and Swiss individuals may invoke binding arbitration as a last resort before the Privacy Shield Panel.

  • CRA Assessments has further committed to cooperate with EU data protection authorities (DPAs) and the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) with regard to unresolved Privacy Shield complaints concerning human resources data transferred from the EU and Switzerland in the context of the employment relationship.  If you do not receive timely acknowledgment of your complaint from us, or if we have not addressed your complaint to your satisfaction, please contact the EU DPAs or the Swiss FDPIC for more information or to file a complaint.  The services of EU DPAs and the Swiss FDPIC are provided at no cost to you.
